Both are great dogs. Both do well in water. Both have a big nose, and you can duck to the ground is found in the bushes. Goldens are a little harder, the longer the hair to keep organized.
I would be with any combination of your dog better for hunting situations. In brown, light sticks on the floor, a golden retriever is not much for the approval of ducks. Submerged in the darkest woods, a black Labrador mix better.
